The man with a grin almost as big as the subcontinent itself who has been named as the Indian Cricketer of the Century by a panel of experts from Wisden.None other than the "Haryana Hurricane",Kapil Dev. Kapil Dev,who enjoyed a career in international cricket spanning 16 years.India's greatest cricketer and one of the world's greatest all rounders. The man who led India to its only World Cup triumph in 1983.

Kapil Dev was a right-arm pace bowler noted for his graceful action and potent outswinger, and was India's main strike bowler throughout most of his career. He also developed a fine inswinging yorker during the 1980s which he used very effectively against tailenders.

As a batsman he was a natural striker of the ball who could hook and drive effectively. A naturally aggressive player, he often helped India in difficult situations by taking the attack to the opposition.

A true winner of the World for India.(World Cup 1983).

Flock : Is it Flop

Latest browser from Google technology had a great opening. Chrome, as it is called is one of the most powerful and sophisticated browser. Now that another browser has hit the market called Flock. Is it a Flop(NOT)...

It is one of the browser which provides a high level of GUI and also has many added features. Which includes video sharing and other user friendly benefits. Flock has a few add on like pop up blocker and for playing flash contents. But still its ability to handle and block pop ups is not effective. User control of pop up window as provided by Google chrome is absent.

With a list of good browsers like chrome, Mozilla, apple safari, opera and IE available on market I don't find a space for a browser which is not very effective. To capture a browser market it really got to be a great one. Anyways Flock is not A Flop for sure...

Greedy or Smug!!!

Everyday we go to sleep with a hope that our next day will do good to us.We have aspirations and targets for tomorrow to achieve. It is this ambition that drives us. With this asa valid point I give my analysis on two kinds of people.They are at extreme ends but I thought I could analyse which one suits our world better.

Smug are a kind of people who are complacent with their current status.They are contended and never put their nerves to test. They are a happy lot of people dont have the question of tomorrow.
This is one class of people.

Greedy are just the opposite,ferocious about what they want infact they go overboard. They would die for what they want.Their day rises with an ambition though vicious it may be. Never are they contended and are insatiable lot. Their appetite for material world is enormous. This is another extreme class of people.

If I analyze both these extremes things get murkier for me. But I would put my money on greedy people among the both. This is because of the simple reason they have dreams to their credit. Yes though it is vicious they are focused they take every step towards achieving their ultimatum, which is unknown. Though it is like getting into loose grounds they try their hand at it.

But smug are like placid water which is unfit for power generation. They are like animals, contended with their plate of food. Never want to experiment and are confined to their small space. They are unfit in this pacey world.

You can be Greedy but not a Smug is my verdict. Please have your say at this verdict of mine.

Obama : The meliorist

The name was a non entity last year. Today he is the President-Elect of U S A the biggest Democratic nation in the world and also a superpower.

The most significant and astonishing fact in this is that he is the first Black President of U S A. Before the famous proclamation of Emancipation, Blacks were not only slaves but were not given proper social status in U S A. They were given very brutal treatment. Even after they were freed Blacks of U S A were/ are treated as second class citizens. Despite many Rehabilitation measures to make them adaptable in Society they still have mental frigidity.

 So against this backdrop Obama’s elevation to the most powerful political post of today is mind boggling. Now, the blacks can walk with their heads high. They can enjoy all their rights that they lawfully deserve. That does not mean that obama is going to be biased in leading the nation, but he is going to justify the post conferred to him by the citizens of USA amidst so many potential candidates.

How did he achieve this? By showing off his colour or social background?? The answer is a big NO. He did it by heralding an era of change in USA. His voice has become a synonym of sincerity. Throughout his campaign, he emphasized on the issues of ending the Iraq war, increasing energy independence and providing universal health care. He has also cut down taxes for senior citizens thereby reshaping USA’S economy. The greatest thing here is, amidst the ocean of insincere and self- praising politicians he stands atop a different Man.

He has proved the age-old maxim that “ perseverance is key note to success.”His victory was celebrated not only in the US but also in other leading nations including our own Mother India. Why is that so?? The answer is purely because everyone was able to purely appreciate the bold attempt and subsequent success of a black to rule the country that earlier treated him as a slave. In fact the 2008 president elections in US created waves like never before. Any American can proudly attribute this to Obama. Obama succeeded purely due to sincerity, patience and his grit determination that will inspire any individual to getup, realize and live his dream.

Such was his campaigning that made even Whites of USA to vote for him. He is definitely a man with substance. He has now paved the way for other nations to follow. He has also changed the opinion that people have towards the field of politics and has made it more than clear that politics is a field that can be ruled only by the very deserving brains that has the appropriate mixture of wit ,skill, timing and patience.

Thus he has inspired me as an exemplary individual who is destined to change the face of global politics in the near future. As he said in his winning speech….”CHANGE HAS COME TO AMERICA”…..lets hope that this change is for the better!!!

APJ Abdul Kalam : The man who foresees time

Despite being the First citizen of India for 5 Years APJAK was easily accessible to the common man. His scholarship and academic brilliance has won him innumerable fans of all ages and creed. He was a scientist who had excelled as a space specialist and was responsible for plotting India on the map of the scientific world.

As a President his humility was unheard of and was lauded by all Countries. The Youth have adopted him as a role model and he has inspired every youth to dream ahead and achieve their mission. He is the embodiment for the golden say” Do aspire beyond your access. Otherwise what are the Moon and Stars for?” Across the length and brother of our mother Nation Youth venerated him and he was followed by youths for his simplicity, humility, good natured banter and above all empathy.

Having been born in a poor family, he was able to understand the plight of poor people. His success was not achieved overnight .It was a step by step success .He has become great by his own talent and hard work and hence will be talked for generations together.

There cant be a single educational institution that does not have his photo. This itself goes to say how important education is according to him. He wants every single person to have minimum basic education. He has also put in lots of efforts in this regard.


Another significant trait of APJAK is that he was respected by all his peers, followers and youth. He transformed the post of the President from an ornamental position to one that was universally acclaimed. No doubt the Office of President has its own shortcomings and also the President enjoys the position only as a decorative principal head APJAK tried to make the position more meaningful. Undoubtedly he was a President equally respected and admired like his illustrious predecessor Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. It was APJAK who predicted that India will become a superpower by 2020.Now it has hit everyone’s head hard that support from every individual is very much necessary to achieve this dream.

 He had an innings that touched the basic tenet of the common Man. Such was his attitude, perseverance and humility that has made him a role model to every true Indian.

Describing Contentment along with Circumstances

Circumstances

Drop by drop the tears are shed,
drop by drop the puddles (of life) are fed.

Centimetre by centimetre, the mercury rose,
centimetre by centimetre, its nature is exposed.

Metre by metre is the happiness separated,
metre by metre is the sorrow penetrated.

Foot by foot the dept increased,
foot by foot it seized.

Yard by yard we travel,
Yard by yard life loses its dazzle.

Ton by ton increases the weight,
ton by ton determining our fate.

Unwonted Playscript

Virus- Vital Information and resource under siege : when comes into our system creates a lot of problem to our system which includes a lot of system errors, missing Dll, eating up RAM memory making the system process slow down. sometimes when virus gets into our system , we shall face DOS attack too. This is a common scenario.

Here Comes Uncommon Scenario:

But I am attacked with a virus present in my friends system which is out of my network. His yahoo messenger got corrupted with virus and whenever he comes online his messenger starts sending messages either blank one or stuffed with some bad links multiple times for all the contacts on his messenger who are online at the same instant. which makes me to quit my yahoo messenger at times. Isn't this a sort of DOS. :( ....

Who is responsible for this VIRUS..
